Q. What is the best way to submit a work order?
A. It is best to submit a work order through your tenant portal. It gives you the ability to upload pictures, write in detail about any issues, and you will be able to reference your portal for information about when you submitted the work order. You can now download an app called Resident Center by Buildium on your phone to make it even easier.
Q. How soon will I get my deposit back after move out?
A. Within 21 days of you Move Out, we will provide you with a detailed Security Deposit statement giving you an accounting of any pending charges on your account for property repairs or payment of utilities or a deposit refund check.
Q. How do I give my move out notice?
A. Please fill out the “ Notice to Vacate form on our website. After receiving your notice, we will email and mail you move out instructions.
Q. What HOA rules do I need to abide by?
A. While the owner of the home pays any HOA dues, tenants are responsible for any fines you received due to non-compliance with HOA rules. You received a list of general rules most HOA’s enforce with your lease. To view the full CCR’s of your specific HOA, please reference the CCR document on your tenant portal. If you do not see one on your portal, please email us at customercare@johnlscott.com.

Q. When is Rent considered late?
A. Rent is due on the first and considered late if not in by the 6th at 9:00am.
